A Focus On Fundamentals

HOLA focuses on the fundamental academic skills: math, reading, writing, the
sciences, the arts, and social studies. HOLA offers a full academic
curriculum. Each student will have an academic curriculum custom-designed for
their specific needs. Our curriculum also allows for student-designed learning
and projects. In addition, a multitude of outdoor skills are an integral part of
the curriculum. Our outdoor curriculum will involve students in backpacking,
canoeing, SCUBA, rock climbing, earth skills, biking, fishing, boating, snow
skills, surfing, and many more areas.
Our curriculum balances classroom learning
with learning out in the world. HOLA incorporates travel into the
curriculum. An annual fall and spring trip are the highlights with the
spring trip being international.
